Area Profile – Hackney Wick
Hackney Wick is one of East London’s most creative pockets, sitting right on the border of the borough of Hackney and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
The area neighbours Fish Island, Stratford, Bow and Victoria Park, with the River Lea and Hackney Cut canal running straight through it.
Between the converted warehouse studios, independent breweries and canal-side bars, Hackney Wick offers direct access to the Olympic Park’s cycling and running routes, Vittoria Wharf’s waterside dining, and one of London’s highest concentrations of working artists’ studios. It’s also just a short walk from Westfield Stratford City and the wider Stratford transport hub.
